We have made a very important decision about selling false stamps and coins on Delcampe.
Until present, members were authorized to sell forgeries which were manufactured before 1945 if the term FORGERY was mentionned in the item's title and description, using capital letters.
From now on, an irremoveable mark has to be added to all fake coins and stamps. This mark will be made by using a special ink when selling fake stamps, whereas a hallmark must be added to all fake coins.
Consequently, our Terms and conditions have been adapted according to the new rule.
This decision was based on ethics because we want to avoid that fake coins can be sold to other collectors as real ones on our website or on other websites.
In all categories except stamps, like coins or post cards, selling fake items is strictly forbidden and no exceptions will be made.
With kind regards, Sébastien Delcampe
Is it difficult to browse listings ?
@webmaster
Fri 10th Jul 2009
Dear members,
We recently received quite a lot of emails complaining about browsing difficulties in listings.
Presently, we do not see technical issues on our side and we think this may come from a certain type and version of Internet browser.
We need your help in order to be able to understand the problem and fix it as soon as possible.
If you are one of the members facing this problem, please help us to help you. Send us a message with as much information as possible.
What happens when you are facing the problem ? A white page ? An error message ? Which one ?
The problem is only important slow loads or pages crashing ?
Images loading is it now a problem ?
What kind of browser do you use ? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, ... ? Which version ?
Do you see this problem at all times or only during some timeframes ? Which ones ?
If possible, a screeen capture of the problem would really help us a lot.
In addition, we are now pleased to invite all of you to our conference called "Buy and Sell on Delcampe.net". Peter and I will give a presentation on how to buy and sell by using the web, and while we are at it, give some advice on how to do this as efficiently as possible. You will also have the opportunity to ask us all your questions. So don't miss out on our presentation when you are visiting the show!
The conference is scheduled on Sunday the 9th of August at 2:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, room 335.
We hope many of you will join us and visit our presentation.
